With recent positive press, the Air Chatter marketplace has seen a significant rise in new members through the past couple weeks. We now have well over 250 member companies with steady growth on a daily basis. This certainly makes Avianis Air Chatter the fastest growing online aviation marketplace in the world. We have also been very happy to see the activity in the marketplace social feed increase quite dramatically along with the growth in membership.

The value Air Chatter brings to the industry as a marketplace alternative has become quite clear. The days of the costly “charter exchange” model has come and gone. Industry professionals are looking for new, innovative and cost effective ways to find, buy and sell aviation services.

Air Chatter is free social marketplace that brings a whole new level of innovation to the charter buying and selling experience. One of our main objectives in developing Air Chatter was to ensure that we started to standardize the request-to-quote-to-book process. This is one of the main reasons why we decided to include our SmartQuote engine for free as part of the Air Chatter experience. We needed to ensure that the Avianis no cost marketplace model was extensive enough to see a charter transaction through to booking.

Below we have provided some of the recent comments we have received on the NBAA Airmail and other sources:

 Just Found it…. Avianis.com
I like it a lot, it takes some time to get to know it, after using FOS or others, but I like the fact it’s web hosted and it incl quotes, tripsheets, invoicing, much much more. I just started using it last week, still working on details, but so far I’m very happy.

Avianis 10 times better than Avinode
Since Avinode merged with CharterX a couple days back I am fed up with not finding the operators that I need for my trips. If anyone here is looking for a more user friendly system where all operators are shown, not just paid ones I highly suggest joining avianis.com. You will find all the operators you need for free and if there are any missing just click support and they will update that operator for you.

We would first like to thank everyone for all of the positive feedback we have received regarding the Avianis ecosystem. We have been pleased by the enormous amount of traction the Air Chatter Marketplace has gained since its launch this past January. Just in the past few days we have seen 120+ new member accounts. That said we wanted to take this opportunity to answer a few of the more commonly asked questions from our new and prospective members.

When will Avianis start charging for the Air Chatter Marketplace?
Never. The Air Chatter Marketplace is free and always will be. While there are integrated scheduling and business management solutions (Air Manager) that require a license, these are optional and are in no way required to fully leverage the free marketplace.

Is Avianis a solution for brokers or operators?
Both and more. Avianis is chalked full of features that tailor the solution to meet the individual needs of operator, broker and FBO businesses. Other value-added service vendors can also create free directory listings for ground transportation, catering, etc…

Is Avianis open to the general public or retail charter buyers?
No. All users in Avianis must be industry professionals and have an approved business listing. Upon sign up, all users are vetted prior to allowing access to any information or functionality in the Avianis ecosystem.

How is searching for charter availability in Air Chatter different?
Air Chatter offers two options here. Being a social marketplace there is a posting feed that can easily be filtered to your specific criteria. Call it the alternative to the Trip Board in the age of social media. Secondly there is a map-based search that provides a range of very intuitive sourcing/search capabilities. With the map based approach there is no need to search through long lists of airport codes looking for one-way matches, charter requests or transient availability. Simply layer charter availability on a map, filter as desired and quickly source charter directly from the map-based results.

Is the Air Chatter business directory accurate and does it list all the operators?
Yes. We believe the Air Chatter Directory is the most accurate charter directory in the world. Operators are not required to pay any fees to list their aircraft. We also take great pride in watching the directory become more accurate everyday as updates are made based on crowd-sourced input from our growing user community. All of which can be easily found with directory list or map-based search tools.

We are here to answer any other questions you may have and would love to hear from you.

We proud to announce the addition of the Texas Department of Transportation’s Flight services division to our list of operators using Air Manager. TxDOT spent the last quarter in 2011 reviewing all the available options for a better way to manage their fleet throughout the great state of Texas. Through this effort TxDOT chose Avianis from all the competitive systems in the review. The comprehensive nature of technology fulfills all of the key areas they needed to address with a new fleet management software solution.

TxDOT also chose to leverage the Avianis Customer Services Portal Air Connect add-on to allow for better management of the passengers they serve. This capability allows for the flight services division to better communicate and exchange flight documents with their client base. All fully integrated to their Air Manager account, one solution to enhance many aspects of the TxDOT operation.

“We have been serving this type of operation for quite a few years now in our work with the Georgia Aviation Authority among others. The addition of TxDOT as a client only further solidifies our capability to serve large fleets with specialized operational requirements” says Daniel Tharp – Founder, Avianis Systems.
